Steed of Truth
Biblical Evidence That Show Jesus is God
1. Worthy of Worship:
God alone is to be worshipped
Exodus 34:14 (NKJV) - (for you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God),
John 9:38 (NKJV) - Then he said, “Lord, I believe!” And he worshiped Him.
Worshipped by angels
Hebrews 1:6 (NKJV) - But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all the angels of God worship Him.”
Worshipped by the wise men at birth
Matthew 2:11 (NKJV) - And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Matthew 14:33 (NKJV) - Then those who were in the boat came and worshiped Him, saying, “Truly You are the Son of God.”
Matthew 28:9 (NKJV) - And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him.
Jesus never rebuked someone who worshipped him. In contrast to other biblical figures who redirect worship away from themselves. When the apostles and angels were worshipped, this happened: Acts 10:25-26; Acts 14:12-15; Revelation 19:9-10; Revelation 22:8-9. The people worshipping them got rebuked.
2. God Alone Saves

Isaiah 45:21-22 (NKJV) - Tell and bring forth your case; Yes, let them take counsel together.
Who has declared this from ancient time? Who has told it from that time? Have not I, the Lord? And there is no other God besides Me, A just God and a Savior; There is none besides Me. “Look to Me, and be saved, All you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.
Isaiah 43:11 (NKJV) - I, even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no savior.
Luke 2:11 (NKJV) - For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
1 Timothy 4:10 (NKJV) - For to this end we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.
Titus 2:13 (NKJV) - looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
John 4:42 (NKJV) - Then they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of what you said, for we ourselves have heard Him and we know that this is indeed the Christ, the Savior of the world.”
Acts 4:11-12 (NKJV) - This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
3. The God Who Died for Us

Acts 20:28 (NKJV) - Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
4. Jesus Can Do What God Can
Psalms 95: 6-7 (NKJV) - Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
Let us kneel before the Lord our Maker. For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice:
John 10: 27-30 (NKJV) - My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand. I and My Father are one.”

6. Divine Nature of Jesus
Philippians 2:5-7 (NKJV) - Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.
Colossians 2:9 (NKJV) - For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;
John 14:8-9 (NKJV) - Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’?
Hebrews 1:3 (NKJV) - who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
7. Demonic Confession
Mark 1:23-24 (NJKV) - Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!”

Matthew 8:28-29 (NJKV) - When He had come to the other side, to the country of the Gergesenes, there met Him two demon-possessed men, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one could pass that way. And suddenly they cried out, saying, “What have we to do with You, Jesus, You Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?”
8. God is Eternal

10. Thomas Claims Jesus is God

Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
11. Only God can Raise the Dead and Judge
John 5:21-23 (NKJV) - For as the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son, that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
Since the Son is equal to God the Father in essence, so we honor him when we regard him as such. Therefore, to not honor one is to not honor the other. "As a matter of fact," it may be added that they who do not honor the Son do not worship God at all.
12. Jesus Forgives Sins
Mark 2:5-10 (NKJV) - When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.” And some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, “Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?” But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, “Why do you reason about these things in your hearts? Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—He said to the paralytic
Luke 7:48-49 (NKJV) - Then He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” And those who sat at the table with Him began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
13. God Manifested in the Flesh

While John was born before Jesus (as described in the narratives of both being relatives, with John's birth preceding Jesus'), he acknowledges that Jesus existed before him, indicating Jesus' eternal nature. The Son of God existed from eternity past in fellowship with the Father.
15. Pre-existing His Incarnation
